Philippines 2010 Legal Holiday

2009 is almost over, so we need to welcome the year 2010. As early as July 21, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo already signed Proclamation 1841 which declaring the 10 regular holidays for 2010.

It was declared a little bit early, but according to executive secretary Ermita it was for the benefit of business men who are very conscious about holidays impact the employees productivity.



The Regular holidays for 2010 are:

· New Years Day (January 1)

· Maundy Thursday (April 1)

· Good Friday (April 2)

· Araw ng Kagitingan (April 9)

· Labor Day (May 1)

· Independence Day (June 12, moved to June 14 Monday)

· National Heroes Day (August 30)

· Bonifacio Day (November 30, moved to November 29 Monday)

· Christmas Day (December 25)

· Rizal Day (December 30, moved to December 27 Monday)


Non Working Holidays:

· Ninoy Aquino Day (August 23)

· All Saints Day (November 01)

· December 24 and December 31
